The ‘Sinha-Le‘ sticker which has been picked up by vehicle owners is now even used as a brand name for cab services around the country.
“The sudden display of ‘Sinha Le’ posters and stickers in public places, private motor vehicles including buses and three wheelers, and on social media, gives the appearance of being part of an organized political campaign that seeks to exploit nationalist emotions” the National Peace Council said yesterday.
All manifestations of hate speech must be banned by law and ‘Sinha Le‘ hate campaign must be dealt with by a new legislation, said the National Peace Council.
