It is reported that several former ministers of SLFP are planning to cross-over enabling to contest under the UNP in the upcoming election.
According to the information, among them, 4 former cabinet ministers, 3 former deputy ministers and former senior minister are in the group and they are representing Matara, Kandy, Digamadulla, Matale, Kegalle and Colombo districts.
People had rejected former president at the last presidential election and since then former president Rajapakshe and several former ministers also have been rejected by general public due to their corruptions, frauds, malpractices and misuse of public resources during Rajapakshe regime. In fact these politicians have felt now that their future political carrier would be uncertain and at risk, as such they are planning to cross over from the party to obtain nomination in the forthcoming election. General opinion of the people is that such politician should be eliminated from politics and they should even reject the parties who are giving nominations for those politicians.
