It is reported that an order banning Tissa, an officer of SL Navy who is a suspect in the murder of rugby player r Wasim Thajudeen, from going aboard was obtained by the CID on Thursday. Accordingly, he would be arrested soon for questioning regarding the murder.
According to police sources the suspect is attached to a camp of one of three forces in the North.
The suspect had been a very loyal driver of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his wife Shiranthi Rajapaksa and was a member of the Presidential Security Division.
